Alizah in a Spring Forest

Late April is a time where if you plan to do something outside, it will probably rain for at least half of the time you needed the sun to be out. I met up with Alizah (a local cool girl I’d been wanting to share inspiration with), and we got ready in my studio. She’s talented at many artful things, but especially at applying her own makeup, which I happily let her do herself, as I gelled her baby bangs into cute chunky curls split down the middle. We used a big blue sunhat from Cotillion Bureau, more as a prop than as a garment, and the layery 1920’s reminiscent dress hung on her perfectly as we walked in the woods, already talking deeply and philosophically, and laughed as we tried to quickly catch the moments when the sun moved between clouds.
