Darcie by the Sea 2019
Darcie, in fact, needs no introduction but deserves one nonetheless. I was honored and pleased to work with -in my eyes- a local celebrity. She’s known for her stand up comedy, exceptional online presence, sentimental polaroid photos, not to mention other amazing art works and ventures she’s had within the local art scene. We tried to encapsulate her good grace and witty humor within the realms of an editorial style shoot. She wore a vintage sailor dress, a piece that by chance had belonged to her in high school and come second hand from another local artist, to me as a donation, and then back into her hands to be worn in front of the camera for this hazy day by the ocean.
